Our Mission

To coach, train, and support youth softball players who ultimately desire to play at the collegiate level.

Our Organization

Empire Fastpitch was founded in the late fall of 2019 by Coaches John Wren & John Capozucca. At that time, they were coaching a competitive 14U travel team for the Brooklyn Cyclones organization. They both realized that Brooklyn was missing a true competitive fastpitch organization that put both athletes and families first and foremost. So, they left the Cyclones with one team and 13 players and founded Empire Fastpitch. Right after deciding to create Empire the covid pandemic hit and locked down softball for most of the 2020 year. Even with the lockdowns, they found a way to get their girls on the fields a few times at the end of the summer and in the fall of 2020. In the fall of 2020, we also welcomed Coach Frank Marinello to the organization along with his 14U team and Coach Vassallo from the Queen’s Daredevils along with his 18U team. With 2021 came new challenges and a rapidly growing organization. Empire expanded to fielding 3 teams in the Summer of 2021 at the 14U, 16U & 18U age groups. As 2021 came to an end we added another team and coach to the fold welcoming Coach Patrick Lawler and his 14U team from the Brooklyn Storm organization. With all these players and coaches flocking to the Empire banner we held tryouts as well as worked out all winter long. What has emerged after all these changes and challenges is a thriving organization that will now field teams at every level of competitive softball in the summer of 2022 (10U thru 18U).
